It is known by other names in the Arabic language such as: Bayt Al-Maqdis, Al-Quds Al-Sharif, Al-Qiblatayn, Al-Kitab. القدس ، أكبر مدن فلسطين من حيث المساحة والسكان ، والأهم من حيث الدين والاقتصاد. وهي معروفة بأسماء أخرى في اللغة العربية مثل: بيت المقدس ، القدس الشريف ، القبلتين ، الكتاب.
